Plans and what they include
crisp has three plans that include AI usage: Free at $0 a month, Pro at $20 a month, Max at $100 a month. Or use Your own key: your own Anthropic API key pays for the AI, at no charge from crisp. Free needs no credit card.

Every plan includes the same tools for building. Plans differ in how much AI usage they include each month and in their limits. The pricing page shows the full comparison.

What AI usage means#
crisp uses AI models to build and change your app. AI usage is measured in dollars, at what the models cost, with nothing added. The plan price also pays for the rest of crisp, such as running and storing your projects, so a plan includes less usage than its price.
As a guide, building and checking a typical new app uses about one dollar, and most small changes use a few cents. Bigger changes use more.
The Free plan#
- Costs nothing and needs no credit card.
- Includes $3 of AI usage every month.
- Your free usage starts once your email address is confirmed, or right away if you sign in with GitHub. This stops people from collecting free usage with many accounts.
Upgrade or change your plan#
- Open the account menu and choose Billing.
- Press the button for the plan you want, for example Pro. You pay on a secure Stripe page.
- To change your card, see your invoices or cancel, press Plan, invoices and payment on the Billing page.
Paid plans are billed every month, in advance, until you cancel.
Top-ups#
On any of these plans, Free included, you can buy extra usage when you need it, on the Billing page. On Free you enter a card only then, there is no subscription, and you stay on Free. A $10 top-up adds $9 of usage. The rest covers card fees. Top-ups come in $10, $30, $50 packs and never expire. Your monthly usage is spent first.
Your own key#
If you already pay for the Anthropic API, add your own key on the Billing page. Requests then run on your key and Anthropic bills you directly, with nothing added by crisp. Building and hosting are free up to a monthly allowance, with no credit card. See Use your own Anthropic API key.
When you reach a limit#
A project limit only stops you from starting a new project. Your existing projects keep working. Delete a project you no longer need, or upgrade.
