A Lovable alternative: Crisp vs Lovable.

Lovable and Crisp both build a working web app from a description. This page puts them side by side, using what each one says on its own pages, so you can pick the one that fits what you are building.

No credit card required. Facts checked October 2026.

The short version.

Lovable is a mature product with a large set of sign-in options, built-in Stripe and Paddle payments, and real-time collaboration for teams. Its usage is counted in credits, and unused credits roll over while you stay subscribed.

Crisp also builds native iPhone and Android apps, tests every build in a real browser before it says it is done, and counts usage in dollars at what the AI models cost. Editing the code and syncing it to GitHub are on every Crisp plan, Free included.

If you work as a team or need many sign-in providers today, Lovable is the stronger choice. If you want a phone app as well as a web app, or want each build checked for you, try Crisp.

What Lovable Crisp
Free plan Yes. 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month, plus 20 Cloud credits a month. Editing code, downloading code and your own domain are not on Free. [1] Yes. $3 of AI usage a month, up to 3 projects, and 1 published app on a Crisp address. No credit card. Crisp pricing
First paid plan Pro, $25 a month billed monthly ($250 a year), with 100 credits a month. [1] Pro, $20 a month, with $12 of AI usage, 10 published apps and your own domain. Max is $100 a month. Crisp pricing
How usage is charged In credits. Unused monthly credits roll over while your subscription is active, until they expire. Pro and Business plans can buy more. [2] In dollars, at what the AI models cost Crisp, with nothing added. A live meter shows each request's cost, and each request stops at a limit you set ($2 by default). Fixing its own mistakes in the same request is not charged. Top-ups from $10 never expire. Usage and billing
Web and mobile apps Web apps. Publishing always goes to a web address; there is no App Store or Google Play flow. [3] Web apps, and native iPhone and Android apps built with Expo and React Native. You send a mobile app to the App Store and Google Play with your own developer accounts. Mobile apps
Database A built-in backend, Lovable Cloud, with a database, sign-in, storage and functions. You can connect your own Supabase project instead. [4] Every project gets its own database, filled with sample records. See and edit every record in the Data tab, and download it. Your app's data
Sign-in for your users Email, phone, Google, Apple, Microsoft and SAML single sign-on. [5] Email and password sign-up and sign-in, roles, and Sign in with GitHub or Google with your own keys. Add sign-in
Payments Built-in Stripe and Paddle. [6] Stripe on every plan, connected per project, with test payments in the preview. Razorpay or Polar on request. Take payments
Testing before it says done The agent can test the app in a real browser. It is careful about when: by default it mostly tests when you ask. [7] Yes. A separate tester opens the app in a real browser, uses it like a person, and checks phone width and the dark theme. Crisp fixes what fails before it says it is done. How a build works
Publishing and your own domain Publish to a lovable.app address. Your own domain on paid plans. [8] Every plan publishes to a Crisp address. Your own domain on Pro (1) and Max (up to 10). A security check runs before each publish. Use your own domain
Code and GitHub Two-way sync with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. Downloading the code as a file needs a paid plan. [9] [1] Read and edit every file in the Code tab. Export to your own GitHub repository and keep it in sync, on every plan, Free included. GitHub
Who owns the code Lovable's terms say you own the AI output made for you. [10] You own your prompts, the code, the data and the app. Crisp claims no ownership. What belongs to you
Gallery or marketplace Templates to start from, and you can remix (copy) public projects. [11] A Marketplace of apps made with Crisp. Listing costs $9 once, refunded if the app is not accepted. Copies only if you turn them on. List your app

  • You want undo that brings back your data as well as your code.

Questions.

Is Crisp a good Lovable alternative?

It depends on what you build. Both build web apps from a description, with a database, sign-in and payments. Crisp also builds native phone apps and tests every build in a real browser. Lovable has more sign-in options and real-time team editing.

Which is cheaper, Crisp or Lovable?

Lovable Pro is $25 a month with 100 credits. Crisp Pro is $20 a month with $12 of AI usage, counted at cost. The two units are different, so the best test is to build the same small app on both free plans.

Can I move a Lovable project to Crisp?

Not directly. Crisp can import a GitHub repository only when the app is built the way Crisp builds apps. You can describe the same app to Crisp and it builds it from the start.

Do both let me keep my code?

Yes. Both say you own what they build for you, and both sync the code to GitHub.

Does Lovable build mobile apps?

Lovable builds web apps that work in a phone's browser. Its docs say publishing always goes to a web address. Crisp can build a native iPhone and Android app.
