An AI mobile app builder for real iPhone and Android apps.

Choose Mobile app, describe the screens and what people do on them, and Crisp builds a native phone app with its own backend for data and accounts. Tap through it in a phone frame right away, or scan a code and open it on your own phone.

No credit card required.

One prompt: a plant care app.

What you write
A plant care app. A Today tab with the plants that need water, a page for each plant with a photo and its watering history, and a form to add a plant. Remind me in the morning when a plant needs water.

What Crisp builds from it

  • Tabs for Today, My plants and Settings
  • A page per plant with a photo and the dates it was watered
  • A form to add a plant, with a photo from the phone
  • A backend that stores the plants and the accounts, hosted by Crisp
  • A morning reminder, which you try on a real phone with Expo Go

Then it opens the app in a real browser, tests it, and fixes what fails before it says it is done. How a build works.

A real phone app, not a website in a frame.

Crisp builds mobile apps with Expo and React Native, the tools many popular apps use. The app can use the camera, notifications and offline storage, which is also what Apple looks for when it reviews an app.

How it works.

  1. Step 1

    Describe it

Write what you want in plain words: who uses it, what they do, and what matters most.

  2. Step 2

    Watch it being built

A first look appears within about half a minute. Then the data, the forms and the other pages, each one tested.

  3. Step 3

    Publish it

Give it its own address when you are happy with it. Keep improving it; people see changes when you publish again.

What you get.

Good to know before you start.

  • You need your own developer accounts to publish: the Apple Developer Program costs $99 a year and a Google Play developer account costs $25 once. Those are paid to Apple and Google, not to Crisp.
  • Store listings, screenshots, privacy details and app review are done by you in App Store Connect and the Play Console.
  • Digital goods sold inside an iPhone app must use Apple in-app purchase, which Crisp does not set up yet. Real-world goods and services can use Stripe.
  • A project is a web app or a mobile app. You cannot switch a project from one to the other later.

Questions.

Is it a native app?

Yes. Crisp builds the app with Expo and React Native, so it installs from the App Store and Google Play and can use the camera and notifications.

Can I try it without a developer account?

Yes. Use the phone frame in the preview, or install Expo Go, which is free, and scan the QR code. On Android you can also build a file to install directly.

Does a mobile app cost more on Crisp?

No. A mobile app counts as one project, like a web app, and its AI usage is charged the same way.

Who builds the app for the stores?

Expo builds and signs the app with your Expo account. A free Expo account includes 15 Android and 15 iPhone builds a month.
