An app builder for students: real apps for a class, a club or a portfolio.
Describe an app and watch Crisp build it step by step. Open the code to see how each part works, change a line yourself, and go back to any step if something breaks. It is a fast way to make something real and to learn how apps are made.
No credit card required.
One prompt: a study group app.
An app for my study group. We post questions about each subject, others answer, and the best answer gets marked. Show a list of upcoming exams with a countdown. Everyone signs in with their school email.Build this example
What Crisp builds from it
- Sign-in with email and password
- Questions by subject, with answers and a best answer
- A list of exams with a countdown to each one
- A layout that works on phones, in a light and a dark theme
- Sample questions and answers to try it with
Then it opens the app in a real browser, tests it, and fixes what fails before it says it is done. How a build works.
Make something real, and see how it works.
Each build shows its plan and every step in the chat, and every file is open in the Code tab. Ask Crisp to explain a part of the code with Ask mode, which answers without changing anything. If an experiment goes wrong, go back to an earlier version in one click.
How it works.
-
Step 1
Describe it
Write what you want in plain words: who uses it, what they do, and what matters most.
-
Step 2
Watch it being built
A first look appears within about half a minute. Then the data, the forms and the other pages, each one tested.
-
Step 3
Publish it
Give it its own address when you are happy with it. Keep improving it; people see changes when you publish again.
What you get.

Good to know before you start.
- Follow your school's rules on using AI for coursework. Crisp writes the code; say so when you hand work in if your school asks.
- The Free plan publishes one app at a time. Delete a project or upgrade to publish more.
- An app that stores other students' data should have sign-in and should not ask for more personal data than it needs.
Questions.
Is Crisp free for students?
The Free plan is free for everyone, with $3 of AI usage every month and no credit card. There is no separate student plan.
Will I learn to code with it?
You can. Read the code Crisp writes, ask it to explain parts in Ask mode, and make small changes yourself in the Code tab.
Can I build a mobile app for a project?
Yes. Choose Mobile app and try it on your phone with Expo Go, which is free.
Do I own what I make?
Yes. The code and the app are yours, and you can copy them to GitHub.
