Vibe coding for people who have never coded.
Describe the app you want in plain words. Crisp writes the code, gives it a real database and sign-in, tests it in a real browser, and publishes it with a security check. You keep talking to it until the app is right.
No credit card required.
What is vibe coding?
Vibe coding is building software by talking to an AI. You say what you want, the AI writes the code, and you judge the result by using it. When something is wrong, you describe the problem and the AI changes the code. You do not need to read the code at all.
The AI researcher Andrej Karpathy named the idea in February 2025, and it quickly became the way many people build their first app. It is fast and it is fun. But a demo that looks right is not yet an app other people can depend on.
Where plain vibe coding stops, and what Crisp adds.
Writing code is the easy part now. These are the parts that decide whether people can use what you made.
| What matters | Often, with plain vibe coding | With Crisp |
|---|---|---|
| Checking the work | Often: The AI says it is done. You find the broken button later. | A separate tester opens the app in a real browser, saves records, checks phone width and the dark theme, and fixes what fails before Crisp says it is done. How it works: Checking the work |
| Saving data | Often: Records live in the browser or in memory and disappear. | Every app gets its own database, designed from your description, with sample records and a Data tab to see them. How it works: Saving data |
| Accounts | Often: Sign-in is a screen that does not really protect anything. | Real accounts with email and password, private pages, and roles such as admin. How it works: Accounts |
| Payments | Often: A pay button that is not connected to anything. | Checkout with Stripe: one-time sales, subscriptions and refunds, in test mode until you switch on real payments. How it works: Payments |
| Security | Often: Secret keys end up in the code, and data is open to anyone. | A security check runs before every publish. A critical problem blocks publishing, and one click asks Crisp to fix it. How it works: Security |
| Going live | Often: The app runs on your computer, and putting it online is a project of its own. | Publish gives the app its own address. People see changes only when you publish again, and Roll back brings the last version back. How it works: Going live |
| Undo | Often: Undo brings the code back, but not the data you lost. | Every reply is a saved version. Go back with the code and the data together. How it works: Undo |
| Ownership | Often: The app only works inside the tool that made it. | Ordinary, readable code. Copy it to your own GitHub repository and run it anywhere. How it works: Ownership |
Try it: one prompt, a working sign-up app.
A sign-up app for our football club. Parents register a child with their age group and a medical note, pay the season fee, and see the training times for their group. Coaches see their group list and mark who came to each training.Build this example
What Crisp builds from it
- Parent accounts, and a coach role that sees only its own group
- A registration form with the age group and a medical note, kept private
- The season fee through Stripe, in test mode until you are ready
- Training times for each age group
- An attendance list for coaches, saved for every training
How to vibe code with Crisp.
-
Step 1
Describe the app
Say who uses it, what they do, and the one thing that matters most. Plain words are enough.
Writing good prompts -
Step 2
Watch it being built
A first look appears within about half a minute. Then the data, the forms and the other pages, each one tested.
How a build works -
Step 3
Try it and ask for changes
Use the live preview. Ask for one change at a time, or click an element and say what to change.
Change your app -
Step 4
Publish it
Give it its own address, or your own domain on a paid plan. Keep improving it after.
Publish your app

Questions.
What is vibe coding?
Vibe coding is building software by describing what you want to an AI in plain words and letting it write the code. You judge the result by using it, and you ask for changes instead of editing the code yourself. The AI researcher Andrej Karpathy named it in February 2025.
Can I vibe code if I have never written code?
Yes. That is who Crisp is for. You describe the app and ask for changes in plain words. Crisp handles the code, the database, the testing and the publishing.
Is a vibe coded app safe to use?
It can be, if someone checks it. Crisp tests every build in a real browser and runs a security check before each publish, and a critical problem blocks publishing. The check finds common problems, not every one, so for payments or sensitive data, also ask a security professional to review the app.
Do I own the code Crisp writes?
Yes. You own the code, the data and the app. Export the code to GitHub at any time and run it anywhere.
Can I still edit the code myself?
Yes. Every file is open in the Code tab. Change a line, save, and keep chatting: Crisp picks up from your change.
How much does vibe coding with Crisp cost?
You can start for free with no credit card. The Free plan includes $3 of AI usage every month, and a typical first build costs about $1 or less. You see the cost of each request while it runs.
